The Problem

Manual Gate Systems Create Operational Bottlenecks

A single guard-operated gate can process 60-80 vehicles per hour. A RFID automated gate processes 300+ vehicles per hour. In high-traffic industrial and logistics environments, that difference determines operational throughput.

Unauthorised Vehicle Access
Manual gate systems cannot verify vehicle identity reliably, allowing unauthorised vehicles to enter secure facilities.
Slow Manual Gate Processes
Guards manually checking vehicles create queues that slow operations, especially at shift changes or high-traffic periods.
Fleet Utilisation Gaps
Without usage data, fleet managers cannot determine which vehicles are over-used, under-used, or redundant.
Fuel & Maintenance Waste
Unauthorised use and missed maintenance schedules drive up fuel costs and reduce vehicle lifespan.
No Real-Time Fleet Location
Dispatchers cannot see which vehicles are available, in use, or off-site — creating inefficient dispatch decisions.

The Solution

Intelligent Fleet & Access Management

Automated Gate Access

Vehicles with authorised RFID tags pass through automatically — no stopping, no guard intervention, no queues.

Unauthorised Access Prevention

Gates remain closed to any vehicle without an authorised tag. Alerts fire immediately for tailgating attempts.

Fleet Utilisation Analytics

Comprehensive usage reports show active time, idle time, and trip frequency for every vehicle.

Maintenance Scheduling

Usage-based maintenance alerts ensure vehicles are serviced on schedule, extending lifespan and preventing breakdowns.

Check-Out/Return Logging

Every vehicle departure and return is automatically logged with timestamp, driver identity, and destination.

Exception Alerts

Instant alerts for vehicles leaving without authorisation, entering restricted zones, or overdue for return.

Implementation

How It Works

1

Tag Every Vehicle

Each vehicle receives a windshield-mounted RFID tag linked to its identity, authorisation level, and usage permissions.

2

Install Gate Readers

Long-range UHF readers at gate entrances read vehicle tags from up to 8 metres — vehicles never need to stop.

3

Configure Access Rules

Define which vehicles can enter which gates, at what times, and for what duration. Rules are enforced automatically.

4

Monitor & Optimise

The fleet dashboard shows real-time vehicle status, entry/exit history, utilisation rates, and maintenance schedules.

FAQ

Common Questions

At what range does the system read vehicle tags?
Long-range UHF readers can identify vehicles from 3-8 metres. At highway speed entry points, tags can be read at up to 10 metres with appropriate antenna configuration — vehicles never need to slow down.
Can the system integrate with barrier/boom gate hardware?
Yes. We integrate with all major barrier gate brands including FAAC, CAME, BFT, and custom barrier controllers. The RFID system sends open/close commands directly to gate hardware.
How does the system prevent duplicate tag use on unauthorised vehicles?
Each tag has a unique, encrypted ID. Tags cannot be cloned by standard means. Additionally, we can add secondary verification (CCTV plate reading, weight sensors) for high-security facilities.
Can the system track vehicles that travel between multiple facilities?
Yes. Our cloud platform aggregates entry/exit data from all facility locations into a single dashboard. Vehicles moving between facilities are tracked in real time.
What types of vehicles can be tracked?
Any vehicle type: passenger cars, trucks, forklifts, construction equipment, motorcycles, and non-motorised assets like trailers. Tags are available in various form factors for each vehicle type.
